I help striving Deaf and Hard of Hearing high school students and young professionals take control of their future by guiding them step-by-step to set and achieve their post-secondary options.

Hi there, I’m Danielle. As an Academic Consultant, it’s my job and pleasure to help young Deaf and Hard of Hearing people discover their passions that leads to purpose.

Through my 20+ plus years involvement in the Deaf and hard of Hearing Community and as a Certified K-12 Certified School Counselor, I have worked with young scholars to help them weigh their options and to dream for more.

How did this become my life? Well in 2001, while working at a small Deaf school in the beautiful Caribbean island of Trinidad & Tobago I found my purpose in working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Living abroad was a beautiful adventure and one that changed my life forever. In working with my Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, I realized they needed motivation to come to school. And so I created a curriculum, Living Intelligently For Everyday (L.I.F.E.), which got the students to make the connection between their academics and their future. L.I.F.E got them to think about their passions and how to turn their passions into a career.

Next Steps Services is a Deaf friendly environment where the staff are fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). We aim to communicate clearly and come along side our Deaf & Hard of Hearing clients to help them create an individualized road map to actualize their passions.
